What's actually live today, honestly

Right now, sending a single fax works — no account, no number, $2.99 per fax. The Business Fax Number itself — getting a standing number, receiving inbound faxes on it, and monthly page metering — is still being tested and is not generally available. Nothing about the number, receiving, or overage billing should be treated as live until we say so directly.

Joining early access does not activate a number or start billing. It puts you on the list and lets us follow up when it's ready.

Is the Business Fax Number available now?
Not generally available yet. It's in early access while we finish testing real inbound receiving, page metering, and carrier provisioning. Joining early access gets you on the list for when it opens, and lets us reach out with real timing.
What happens to the number if I cancel?
The plan is month-to-month with no long-term contract, and the number is released — not preserved for you — if you cancel. We don't yet guarantee you can keep the same number if you resubscribe later.
Can I port my existing fax number to NerdFax, or take a NerdFax number elsewhere?
Not yet, in either direction. Number portability isn't built, so don't plan around moving a number in or out until we say otherwise.
What will it cost?
Planned pricing is $9.99/month for one local US number with 25 combined inbound and outbound pages, then $0.10 per additional page. Month-to-month, cancel any time, no free trial. Pricing is planned, not final, until general availability.
I just need to send one fax right now — do I need this?
No. One-off sending already works today for $2.99 per fax, no account and no number needed — that's the current NerdFax product. Send a fax now. The Business Fax Number is only for people who want a standing number of their own.
